(Bachelor of Arts Degree)

International Studies is a growing academic and applied field that fits perfectly with the Utica College Mission Statement. The IST Major sits at the intersection of liberal arts and professional or applied education that has historically comprised our core mission. Cultural, social, and historical knowledge, as well as applied knowledge, are the lifeblood of careers organized around international work. Appropriately, the IST major courses range across subjects from a current international political landscape, political theory, governmental structures, international relations, history, culture, language, and economics, to studies in Human Rights Advocacy.

The major in International Studies is designed for students with interests in international political relations and economics, government, law, foreign service, inter-governmental and non-governmental organizations, developmental and environmental studies, language, literature, culture, and education.
