The area of database systems studies a broad array of topics in data management exploring the algorithms, systems, and theory required for the efficient, effective use of data. This course is an in-depth exploration of advanced concepts, methodologies, and technologies in the field of database systems. This course builds upon fundamental database knowledge and introduces students to advanced techniques for managing, storing, and retrieving large-scale and complex data.
