DPT 591 - Professional Development II (2)

This course introduces students to the health care system, the stakeholders and their behaviors, health belief models, healthcare policy making, regulatory issues, healthcare ethical dilemmas, and reimbursement in healthcare, preparing them to function in the US healthcare system. The uniqueness of the US healthcare system and international differences among health care systems, medical information issues, roles of medical and health professionals and issues of health care access are stressed.Preequisite: DPT 589 . Co-requisites: DPT 592 , DPT 593 , DPT 595 , DPT 596 , DPT 597 , DPT 599 .
