PXW 223 - Health Sciences Applied to Coaching (3)

The course is a series of interactive exercises and activities designed to study health sciences as they apply to coaching sports. Through these exercises and activities, participants will gain information, organize it for professional and personal use, and apply it to their particular programs. This course will also help to define topics such as: (a) selected principles of biology; (b) anatomy and physiology; (c) kinesiology related to coaching; (d) risk minimization; (e) mixed competition; (f) NYSED selection and classification of athletes; and (g) age and maturity of athletes.
