SPM 211 - Sports Marketing (3)This course provides a framework for understanding marketing strategies used in the sports industry. This course primarily examines two themes in sports marketing, sports as a medium and sports as product. The first theme views sports as one of the vehicles to promote a product, service or organization. It explains how non-sport related businesses can benefit from using sports as part of their marketing communication program. The second theme focuses on the application of marketing principles and theories to promote sports and sport related products (including professional, college or amateur teams, events, and recreation).
