The Olympics Games are a worldwide phenomenon, with effects that ripple beyond national boundaries and the notion of sport. Historical and contemporary perspectives of the Games are viewed through sociological, business, and television lenses. An emphasis is placed on Olympic television and strategies used to publicize the Games and Olympic athletes. Prerequisite(s); if any: SCM 285  or permission of instructor.
